LIN Hsiao-shan, a lively cute girl discovers her mother is in fact not her biological mother, therefore runs away from home in search of her real mother who possibly resides in Kaohsiung. On her way to Kaohsiung, she encounters KAO Ta-hao, a scoundrel on the run. KAO conveniently poses as Hsiao-shan’s father and promises her to help her find her mother. But before they head to Kaohsiung, KAO takes Hsiao-shan up to Ali Mountain for a temporary hideout. They stay with the brother of KAO’s friend, HO Chih-ping and his wife Chun-li. Chun-li is tormented by his workaholic husband who engages madly in his scientific research, and has been ignoring her for 7 years. Lonely and desperately in need of affection, Chun-li cannot help to fall in love with the fatally charming KAO, and plots to leave her husband for him. Meanwhile, Ah-hung, an aboriginal girl who frequents the HOs also falls for the sophisticated villain. The night Chun-li plans to leave with KAO, a strong typhoon comes and complicates the matter… Dealing with the lust and emptiness of a housewife who contemplates infidelity, the film was considered controversial and ahead of its time.
