An Amis girl, Jia Jia, witnesses her ancestral spirits dreamland. The combat of light and darkness there represents critical situation of her father’s health or the scream of her ancestors.

Jia Jia is a 11-year-old city girl. This summer, her mother suddenly brings her and her brother to their tribe for a short vacation. Her grandma realized she is the ‘Illuminating one’ and destined to succeed as a family priest.

A succession of dreams unfolds Jia Jia’s adventure reveals the love and protection of her ancestors. Jia Jia’s parents are Christians. What follows in this family is a deep spiritual conversation, bringing the Taiwanese indigenous peoples’ history to life.
